Cara Flynt, FPQP®

Cara is a Durango native. She graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2005 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Education and planned to become an elementary school teacher. While preparing to obtain her teaching certificate, she accepted a part-time position with Red Mountain Financial Partner’s president, Michael Warren. Several months later, she changed career paths to pursue a career in the financial services industry. Cara attributes the change to the quality of the relationships the firm’s advisors have cultivated with clients, and the strong focus on doing what’s right for clients above all else.

She has been able to put her teaching skills to work instructing investment classes at local high schools, as well as coaching interns from the local community. She takes particular pride in educating new investors and enjoys the financial planning process. Cara is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional TM and holds her securities industry registrations with LPL Financial and Red Mountain Financial Partners.

Cara and her husband live in Durango, CO with their son, who they welcomed in 2015. They are active members in their local Elks Lodge, and enjoy taking advantage of the numerous seasonal and outdoor activities Durango offers.
